Wayland Main Street volunteers pull together for change in their community. Think you might be interested? There are so many ways to get involved! Below are the four committees. Look below to see if any areas interest you and sign-up!

Design Committee

Meeting: The second Monday of the month at 5:30pm at Wayland City Hall.

 

The design committee supports a community’s transformation by enhancing the physical and visual assets that set the commercial district apart.

Design Committees Responsibilities

  • Façade Program 

  • Sign Program 

  • Downtown Flowers

  • History Preservation

  • Benches 

  • Banners

  • Permanent Signage 

  • Lighting

Organization Committee

Meeting: The second Monday of the month at 10:30am at Wayland City Hall.

 

The organization committee supports the promotions committee and helps to inform the residents of all things Downtown Wayland. They also work directly with our volunteers through recruitment and organizing program.

Promotions Committee

Meeting: The second Thursday of the month at noon at McDuff's Bar and Grille.

 

The promotions committee supports and plans all of Downtown Wayland's events. Each member has specific jobs based on their skills and interest. 

Promotion Committees Responsibilities

  • Planning all events

  • Recruiting food trucks, artist, bands, kids activates, and more

  • Tracking statistics for all events

  • Coordinating with volunteers for the events

  • Creating posters and prints 

  • Getting sponsorships

  • Wayland's Farmers Market

Economic Vitality Committee

Meeting: The second Thursday of the month at 8:30am at Wayland City Hall.

 

The Economic Vitality committee focuses on capital, incentives, and other economic and financial tools to assist new and existing businesses, catalyze property development, and create a supportive environment for entrepreneurs and innovators that drive local economies.
