Block Party 

The Downtown Wayland Block Party is a vibrant annual community event designed to bring residents and visitors together for a fun, festive evening. The Block Party typically shuts down a portion of Main Street to create a pedestrian-friendly space filled with activities. Attendees can enjoy food trucks, visit with local vendors and businesses, listen to a live DJ or family-friendly music, and often interact with local law enforcement who showcase their vehicles and equipment. It serves as a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the community, promote downtown businesses, and enjoy a lively, family-friendly atmosphere.

Celebrate the spooky Halloween season with the Wayland Community!

Monster Mash

Monster Mash is a highly anticipated annual Halloween event that takes place right in downtown Wayland, closing off the streets for an evening of spooky fun for all ages.1 Typically held near the end of October, the event's main highlights include a large "Trunk-or-Treat" activity, a live DJ spinning spooky-themed music, and a community costume contest with adult and family categories.2 It also features multiple kids' games, vendors, food trucks, and other activities, making it a central and safe way for the community to celebrate the Halloween season.

The Wayland Harvest Market of local farmers and artisans to offer fresh produce, seasonal baked goods, and handcrafted items perfect for holiday preparation. Held in a cozy indoor space like the Pine Street Elementary gym, the Harvest Market provides the community with a unique opportunity to stock up on Michigan-grown items and support local businesses as the weather turns colder.

Snowfest

Snowfest transforms downtown Wayland, Michigan, into a festive winter wonderland, typically taking place in early December. The event is a community-focused celebration of Christmas and the winter season, featuring activities for the whole family, including a Christmas tree lighting ceremony and a variety of games and entertainment. Visitors can also enjoy food trucks, specials from local restaurants and shops, and take advantage of the Downtown Wayland Main Street Social District.
